I worked from home today due to some doctor appointments.  I thought I was lucky that it just happened to be the same day as a major Apple announcement--rumored to be around iTunes 8 and iPods.

So I was working from home patiently awaiting the announcements.

And then the BuddyTV interview hit LJ.  And that's all I could think about.

I even saw an flist item float by about NBC coming back to iTunes including BSG!!!!  If this had been any other day--I would have been SO over that with like YAY!

As it is, I barely noted it.

And I STILL haven't gone out to see what Apple DID announce.

I just don't think I have the psychic energy.  Three intense days of J2 wonderfulness has completely ruined me for anything.

And I'm an Apple fangirl.

But I guess my SAA syndrome trumps Apple anyday.

P.S. I Love You is on iTunes (link).

Yay!  Although I've heard that it's not a terrific movie, I've also heard that JDM is great!  So this is definitely something I'll be renting through iTunes this weekend.  Glad it's not only for sale--but I wouldn't buy it from iTunes.  I don't buy a lot of movies any more through iTunes because I can afford to waste storage space on so many movies I may never watch again.

Update:  Dammit I can't win sometimes.  In the process of clicking on "RENT" button, iTunes popped up a new Terms of Service Agreement.  So I clicked the appropriate button and then it asked me to "try my purchase again."  Without thinking I clicked the "BUY" button rather than the "RENT" button.  Because I had already entered my password, iTunes merrily purchased my new movie.  Dammit  I didn't *want* to buy it.  I wanted to RENT it.  So I paid $10 more than I wanted to and now I either store the movie and take up space or delete the movie when I'm done and feel like I threw away $10.  Grrr.  Oh well.  *shrugs it off*

I just upgraded the software on my Apple TV.  Now I want to go get two more of these things for the other two TVs in the house.  This so rocks.  Now I can access media directly from the Apple TV rather than having to do it through my computer.  TV shows, movie rentals and purchases, youtube, flicker photos, my photos, music--my playlists and iTunes music for download.

I'm in awe.

man!

o boy.

I.  Can't.  Believe. It.

How stupid can one network be?

From digg

and  another

This article says it all for me!

I was almost *completely* off TV watching about 1-1/2 years ago.  Then iTunes posted this show called LOST.  I downloaded an episode because I had just bought a new video iPod and I was curious about how a TV show would look on it.  I got so hooked on the first episode that I downloaded the entire season (for about $40ish bucks) and watched them until 3am.

Then I tracked down LOST fanfic and got even more hooked.

Then I found *other* shows on iTunes:  the new Battlestar Galactica and Heroes, for example.   Then Kyle XY.  I probably never would have gotten hooked on these shows without iTunes.  And I *WON'T" go back to watching them on a specific day, time, and with commercials.

Since that moment when I first downloaded LOST on iTunes I've become so much more involved with TV programming than I have in YEARS.  And I talk about these shows to friends, familys, and co-workers and THEY have gotten hooked on them and are either buying DVDs, watching commercial TV, or buying through iTunes.

And I find other shows and music via these shows--and BUY all that STUFF!

Now NBC may be doing me a favor (my pocketbook and real-life free-time) in the long run.

But they are just being stupid.

It may finally be time to get a TIVO.

END-OF-PUBLIC-RANT (for now)

...of course I already own all the DVDs and have some converted *cough* for my iPod anyway.  iTunes is charging $59.99 for the whole season.  Amazon has Season 1 on sale for $67.49 (plus shipping.)

Open your iTunes.
Sort by song title.
Share with us the first song you have for each letter.

Note:  I first did this to my whole music list--the result was disappointing as I have so much stuff that I don't listen to.  So instead I chose my 5 Star playlist and did it on that.
