Nov. 24th, 2010 10:01 am17 degrees for a low last night! Probably a record of some sort for us, but I don't want to turn on the news just to find out.
Looking forward to a lazy day of sitting back with a warm blanket and the InterWebs.

I did this sketch a couple of days ago. From a MBV screencap byraloria . For a relatively quick sketch I'm rather happy with it. Even if his chin/jaw is somewhat off.

M did a beautiful photoshop of the cap. And I just could not get the image out of my head. I don't know whether to thank SPN's director of photography, whoever editted 6x03, and/or Jared himself. This image is so compelling that I couldn't stop myself from playing with it either.
After doing over a dozen versions, I found myself thinking the word "sacrifice" as I worked on the image. That's what came to mind for me. Sam sacrificing himself so that Dean could have a "normal, apple-pie life."
As you can see below. I did way too many versions of this. And I can't decide which I like the best.

While a great deal of the photos I have of Jared at Vancon was of him in constant movement. I was very taken by Jared's body positioning in the photo I took below. So I played a bit. After all, Randon Jared is not a bad thing!

SPN Vancon 2010 :: Anatomy of a Laugh

I do love it when the boys laugh and since the lighting did truly scary things to their faces and I was getting more and more depressed trying to look through all the photos for some that I could save, I found this sequence of Jared doing one of his full body laughs and decided to play with it.

Opinions Oh Flist? (Vancon autographs)
Aug. 9th, 2010 09:14 pmI still may get into making new images for autos in Vancon. But right now I'm thinking I'm either going to go with images I've leftover from past conventions (and boy do I have a lot!) or perhaps some of my recent fanart.
I'd love opinions.
I could have the boys sign this image I did for last Vancon that I didn't have them sign (I had them sign my J2 Photo Op from Chicon 2008). I have a lot of the other actors' sigs on this series and if I had the boys sign this it would "complete" the series.
Or...
I could print these two below and laminate them back to back and have the boys sign their side. (I have a PM to wolfpup2000 to see if she'd be ok with this.)
Two other options (original photos also from wolfpup2000)
or something from this series..
Or even some of those "mini cards" I printed up of some of my photos from past cons (some of you may remember me handing them out at Vancon 2010.) These cards are only about 1.5 x 1 inches in size.
Decisions, decisions. But like I said I have a lot of stuff already printed that I could have them sign.

Jul. 2nd, 2010 03:35 pmI saw these last night (or earlier? I forget) and the Dean photo drove me nuts because the exposure was so wacky. So I was playing with it last night. It's been awhile since I've been in Photoshop. I miss it.

Three day weekend! Yay! (Although I do have a bit of work to do sometime over the weekend--but still.)

I struggled so much to do justice to this photo. And I'm still not totally happy with the outcome. As I was trying to figure out just why I was struggling, I realized. Part of my problem is that the photo just feels to damn intimate.
I may still play around with it more...but I need to walk away for a time...to um...get some distance/perspective/whatever.

Mar. 31st, 2010 10:54 pmI really wasn't going to do this tonight. But I was kinda bummed what with being sick and feeling a little out of sorts because I've been teaching myself some vidding techniques and I'm feeling -- not so sharp about it. I felt like a quick pick-me-up before bed time.
So I grabbed one ofwolfpup2000 's great LA Con 2010 photos of Jared at the J2 Breakfast ... and played. Now, of course, I don't want to stop--but I will. I need to get some sleep since I'm going back to work tomorrow.
