G R O W Y O U R W I N G S

Holy moly.  I noticed this morning that one of my Misha photos from Vancon 2012 on Flickr got almost 900 views just today.  I was all, what???!!!  So I googled the photo and found this Tumblr post made 5 days ago with over 17,000 notes.   Sheesh.  I'm a bit flabbergasted honestly.  How is that going to generate 17,000 notes in 5 days?   I love how it's "strange photos of Misha."  :)

Update:  Okay, I found this via someone who just reblogged it 5 days ago.  The original post was made on 4/24, so that was 17 days ago.  That makes a little more sense.  But still.

Update 2:  I swear, Tumblr is so confusing.   Now I'm seeing the orignal post was actually made in October 2012.   So, many months ago.  Still making more sense.  I guess.

Update 3:  And the orignal post has a link back to the one photo I noticed had almost 900 views today.   And that one photo itself has over 15,000 views on my Flickr.  I had never noticed that before (see below).   I saw yesterday that my Flickr site had just crossed over 100,000 photo views.



Update 4:   For posterity (whatever), a screen shot of the last 28 days of viewing on my Flickr for that photo.  I which Flickr would provide stat detail further back than 28 days.

As I said at the beginning of this post, one of the things I really enjoyed about the Marks' Panel was how much fan interaction there was.  Mark S. spent most of the time going over to the fans asking questions and/or bringing them up to the stage.   :)

Nothing like an upcoming con to get me to finally finish posting my previous con photos.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the Mark P & Mark S panel.  I really enjoyed this panel.  Mark S. took control and mingled with the fans quite a bit, while Mark P. mostly sat on stage taking questions via Mark S.   I really liked the level of fan interaction during this panel.  I think I'll be making a separate post with fan photos from this panel.  (EDIT:  You can find the fan post here.)

Recently realized that I had not yet scanned and uploaded my photo ops from Vancon 2012.   Here are three of them.  Will get the others up soon on this same post.

My question of yesterday regarding applying a vellum texture (I was brain dead at the time I think), started me playing with creating such a thing.   I randomly pulled up one of my HQ Jensen photos and started playing.   And playing.   And playing.

This one is a crop I found this morning from one of my J2 Vancon photos.  I think a fan had asked how short Mark Sheppard *really* was and Jensen got up to demonstrate, with Jared joining in.   

This close in crop of their hands as Jared is lowering Jensen's estimation of Mark's height, gives a whole new perspective to the photo.  Perhaps slanted outside the actual reality of the moment (but perhaps not?)   

In any case, I found the cropped image compelling.

This is a screen cap of a close up from one of my photos from Vancon 2012.   I'm not sure this will work as I just screen capped and uploaded that cap to the LJ scrapbook.    Hopefully if you click on this image (perhaps twice?  I don't know I've not used LJ scrapbook much) you will see a close up view of those unreal eyelashes.   I am weirdly fascinated with Jensen's left eye in this photo.  The eyelashes, the light reflections in his eye.  

I know.  Strange.  Whatever.   *stares*
