...the Chuck's Speech vid put me in the mood.  So I went hunting for a YouTube hopefully of all 6 season finale openings playing Carry On My Wayward Son.   I found some, but all of them had disabled embedding.   


However I did find this version which I like just as well.  It's only about 2ish minutes long and has clips from all 7 seasons.  And it has good editing as well.

One of my favorite SPN fanvidders has done it again.  lsketch42  has done a wonderful vid-meta on Dean and how missing Sam impacted his ability to truly be happy with Lisa and Ben.  Go here to give her feedback!

I've been reading a lot over at spn_heavymeta  (love that comm) about 6.05 and speculations on season 6.   Overall what I've been reading has been making me feel better about my WTF!Sam 6.05 moments.

Just now I read this, "Sam will always have been the key to saving the world and Dean will always have been the key to saving Sam." (not from anyone associated with Show) in the comments over here on euphonious_glow 's LJ.  She also refers to a Kripke statement about S6 (non-spoilery--or rather the statement is relatively vague).

I've read a lot on other peoples LJ's.  So much that I cannot remember all of them.  A lot of similar WTF!Sam reactions on the day of and/or next day of airing.  But then after a few days, I'm seeing a lot of thinky thoughts that are delving beneath the WTF!Sam and coming up with interesting thoughts.   Hopefully Show will not fall short of some of this fandom's speculations.   And (as usual), I really agree with ash48 's 6x05 thoughts so, again, "what she said!"

I really need to find some new SPN Day-type icons.  All of mine say Thursday!  

But no matter!  It's here.   Man, I swear the last 2ish weeks have just gone by so SLOW!

I actually considered taking today off just because this show was premiering toNIGHT!  Ha!   But instead, i'm leaving a little early to come home and pysch myself out, rev myself up, whatever.  Watch a few eps.

This post was triggered by something Mrsr58 posted.   I was thinking this the other day and wasn't near a computer so didn't get around to posting it.

I'm so grateful for S6 of SPN.  But not ONLY for all the obvious reasons.  More boys.  More story.  More boys.  More fandom squee.  More boys.  More conventions.  More boys.  (Have I mentioned more boys? Heh.)

But another reason why I'm grateful--I can sit back and simply ENJOY the closure of a 5-year story arc WITHOUT having to angst about "OMG, SPN is ENDING!!!"  So I'll be angsting over the fate of the boys...but what else is new about SPN?  At least I don't have to worry about NEVER seeing the boys in a new story line again.

So--yeah--grateful.
