I never post anymore.  I know, I suck.

Love the news about an extra SPN episode!  \O/

Also I just got my repaired Canon 40D back!  My Jenny!   So Jenny joins my new 7D camera.  Which today I decided to call Sammy.  :-)

We just got back from a 3 day weekend in Central Oregon.  Took some photos of a beautiful lake we went kayaking on Saturday.  (photos here)

Working hard, but having fun.

Bob's birthday is tomorrow and Tim's 18th is on the 22nd, so busy with those as well.

Is it September yet?   I'm very ready for season 7!

I gifted S1-S3 DVDs to my cousin Christine and hubby David who live in St. Paul.  I visited with them a few weeks ago in St. Paul.  Chris and I hadn't seen each other for about 20 years!  But we hit it off like wildfire.   They expressed an interest in SPN.   We watched the "Fight the Faries" episode together on Friday when it aired on CW.   So I sent them S1-S3!

I do read LJ regularly btw.  I just don't post much anymore.   Been kinda living on FB and now on Google+.  If anyone is on Google+ let me know--I'd love SPN friends on there.

Heh.     (My subject line quote is from from here.  I like it!)

If anyone out there is panicking because there's news afloat that your sun sign has changed!   Never fear.  Not true.

See here at CNN:

"But before astrology fans scrape the ink from their arms because they think they're now a Virgo instead of a Libra, they should consider this: If they adhered to the tropical zodiac - which, if they're a Westerner, they probably did – absolutely nothing has changed for them.

That's worth rephrasing: If you considered yourself a Cancer under the tropical zodiac last week, you're still a Cancer under the same zodiac this week.

That's because the tropical zodiac – which is fixed to seasons, and which Western astrology adheres to – differs from the sidereal zodiac – which is fixed to constellations and is followed more in the East, and is the type of zodiac to which the Star Tribune article ultimately refers.

Two zodiacs. That's nothing new."

Update:   More astrology geeky background on this can be found here.

And as I said to my daughter on FB as she was freaking out over her sign changing and expressing outrage that this was spreading when it wasn't true:  "Heh--the power of social media/Internet these days means a simple statement, taken out of context, can cause planet-wide panic. Even if it is only about Zodiac signs!"

-----------
And on another front.

I admit it.  I've been posting on FB more and more.   It's just so. damn. easy.   And enabling.   I swear I'll be back on LJ when Show starts back up on Jan 28 and likely for the SFCON.

I have been reading and commenting on LJ.   Just not posting.

But I shall return!

Oh wait.   I guess I have returned!

Heh.

Any recommendations for your favorite iPhone app to post to Facebook and/or Twitter (or even both at once?)

I'm doing some research for a friend and thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has some recommendations.

Ok, so I'm working on getting more into Twitter and Facebook. I think LJ will always be my venue of choice. But #luciferiscoming and #vancon and [Poll #1458375][Poll #1458375]

Anyone out there use Facebook?

I've actually had an account since 2006ish or so.  I feel so spoiled by the format of LJ which is more like a blog.  While Facebook feels more like a Twitter-type forum.  I can't get used to the one or two sentence format.  It feels so limited.

I had wanted to share my Chicago Con experience with my non-SPN, non-LJ friends.  And I was considering using Facebook.  But I don't like the results.  I don't really want to point some members of my family, co-workers and/or others to this LJ.

I'm trying to decide if I should open an alternative LJ under my real name for RL-type communications.  Or try something like eBlogger.

How do you all handle doing blog-type entries with your family/friends/acquaintances that you don't really want seeing your LJ?  Filters feel too awkward over the long run.  I'm afraid I'll loose track of who is who and post something I wouldn't want my mother, for example, to see.

Suggestions?  Ideas?  Help?
