SPN 6x19 reaction (spoilers)

I enjoyed tonight's episode.
I wasn't surprised by the appearance of Crowley. I wasn't spoiled at all. At least not in the normal sense of the word.
But a few things just lead me there. Not that I was necessarily expecting it tonight. Just that it made sense that it would happen.
1. Mark Sheppard appearing in a photo taken in Vancouver airport arriving with the boys. Honestly i just assumed he would be back. I guess my avoidance of spoilers may have backfired here as I read online tonight that Sheppard may have tried to mislead folks into thinking he was at the airport and in Vancouver for some other reason. But I didn't read that, so I just assumed he was going to be back on SPN. After all, no one truly dies and never comes back on SPN...just saying.
2. Misha making some comment months/weeks ago either in an interview or in a con panel about how we might be surprised at just who Castiel may be hanging with. I cannot remember the turn of phrase he used, but something about partnering with someone that was less than angelic. My first thought back then when I heard that was Crowley.
3. I know Crowley supposedly died. But his death just didn't make sense to me. What a waste of a great character, I thought. I'll admit I put it down to some of my overall dissatisfaction with the War in Heaven and Mother of All storylines. Oh and my extreme displeasure over soulless Sam. But it still did not settle well with me. I felt like they threw away a potentially great/interesting pairing - Castiel and Crowley.
Been living online on FB lately (I know, *bows my head in shame*). FB just makes it so damn easy to post. And while I signed up for Tumblr a long time ago, I really went there for the first time in ernest tonight. Is that where everyone has gone??? There were so many Tumblr posts about tonight's episode. And while there were some here on LJ....there were a lot more on Tumblr. Makes me sad.
