And more ... Sunrise from the other day

Playing more catch up.
The sunrises the past two days have been outstanding. I walked outside yesterday (?, I think it was yesterday) and saw these amazing colors coming up from behind the woods next to our house.

above & below :: I did not enhance the colors in these shots.

above :: This is looking the other way (west) from our house. It doesn't show up well in this photo - but the western sky was reflecting back subtle pink and blue colors from the intense sunrise in the east.

above :: *sigh* I love the location of our house - nestled below a hill and bordering on a wooded area. But it does shelter us from a direct view of the sunrise over Mt. Hood. By the time I drove a bit north on my way to work the sunrise was mostly over. Plus the view at this location (in the parking lot of our fitness center) is obstructed by power lines, signs and other suburban crap. *sigh*
Another note I made to myself on my list of stuff I love to photo - the Cascade Mountains - *especially* Mt. Hood. I may need to study up on landscape photography. Overall landscape photography does not do it for me - but I love vistas that include one or more of the Cascades.
