LA Con--New Guest! And SPN Mag #3...

So fickleone called and left a voicemail that they've added Ash to the guest list for the LA Con!  \O/   Yay!  (Although I'm still greedy--I want TIH and *maybe* either Ellen and/or Bobby--but Ash!  Yeah!  I'll take him too!)

Just received SPN Mag #3 in the mail today.  There's an in-depth interview with Kripke--I may just have Kripke sign that at the LA Con.  There's also one of Fredric Leyne (sp?) -- If I can't find a good photo somewhere--I may have him sign that article as well.

So just checked out the Creation Ent page on the LA Con.  In the schedule of events for Saturday they list "Noon to 6 pm: Registration & Vendors Room open, program of events in main theatre featuring Fredric Lane, Chad Lindberg, Eric Kripke, Jason Manns and more to be announced"

...more to be announced....

Am I wrong to keep my greedy hopes up?

However, after that they say " 11 pm - ??? Celebrity Dessert Party exclusive to Gold Weekend Patrons, featuring Fredric Lane & Chad Lindberg"  Previously they had said "more to be announced" (or something like that.)

...so maybe I am wrong to be hopefully greedy....

Either way--I'm happy!!

Politics? Me? (but this doesn't feel like politics...)

I really don't follow politics or campaigns much.  Don't trust much that is said in public, in print, on news-casts, whatever.  Pure political doublespeak. 

That said, I'm impressed with this.  (I saw a link a short time ago on my f-list posted by embers_log)  It seems to be a straight-talking, honest statement.  If I had any previous thoughts about Obama it wasn't anything to do with race, more to do with "isn't he kinda young to be president?"  *is showing my age*  I think I read/heard later that the man is older than I thought based on his appearance. 

But regardless, this was a campaign speech actually worth listening to.
