New Layout!

growyourwingsA few days ago I posted that I was ready for a new LJ layout. I asked for some help finding new layouts. Several of my flisters replied with links to SPN Header and Layout sites.

I had wanted something not so dark. Something to lighten the mood a bit. Needed something that wouldn't remind me of where Dean was at for example. This header reminded me more of the "good ole" days of S1 & S2--at least Dean wasn't in hell yet.
Plus it gave me an excuse to try my hand at my own layout and CSS coding skills.
So the results are here. It's not perfect. There are some minor bugs that I'm just not that worried about. For example that little icon thingy that is supposed to show up to the left of an LJ user name has NEVER shown up in my last layout and now in this one. I spent some time trying to fix--but nothing worked *sigh*
Perhaps with my next layout attempt I'll start with a fresh set of CSS and see where I end up. What may be ironic for those who know me in RL is the fact that I HATE the color blue. (Long story about blue carpets and bath fixtures in a house.) But here I am making my LJ layout in blue--and I LIKE it!
