SPN 3x13 Ghostfacers!

growyourwingsI am so, so hoping that once I rewatch this episode I will like it more. I was just so much looking forward to Dean and Sam tonight. And I guess I made the (bad) assumption that because we only had 4 episodes left in the season we would have more Dean storyline.
Don't get me wrong I loved some of the lines that I can recall from memory. I laughed at the Chisel Chest comment! I loved the statements about going gay to save Corbet. I liked having Sam and Dean swear. However, since they don't swear much in the normal episodes wouldn't this be a little OOC? I would expect Dean to swear and flip the bird more--perhaps it's the normal episodes that are OOC for Dean in that respect. But Sam swore a lot too (or did he--perhaps it was only once). I don't know--I really did like the swearing--but it was different from how they behave in other episodes.
I loved the MoTW though. Creepy and scary. However since I was continuously in this mode of "waiting for the real show to start" I was too distracted to appreciate him properly I think.
And then having the credits at the end also continued my "waiting for the real show to start."
*taps foot* man I really need my conversion to complete so I can rewatch this.
I don't ever remember having such a negative reaction to an SPN episode before. The closest I came was to Hollywood Babylon--but it was no where near this strong.
I've never been one of the folks who complain about an episode. And I don't like being one now.
I really really want to like this episode.
