Vancon 2010 :: Friday Panels (Quickie)

growyourwingsA few photos and quick notes from today's panels:
They were all terrific. Richard had us laughing so hard. Richard started out by walking out into the audience and talking with con newbies about why they came to this con. He had the crowd wrapped up in his hands the whole time. Matt and Katherine were also terrific. Matt said that Jensen helped him figure out how to do Michael by showing him how Jared did Lucifer. Matt gushed quite a bit about Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Aldis answered a lot Leverage questions. He hadn't brought a jacket with him and LA had been 105 so he was cold. He talked about he's been doing marshal arts since he was a kid and he wants Leverage to write that into the show for Hardison. He talked about his watch designing and how he just bought a tool kit to take watches apart and back together again. Katherine was very entertaining. She talked a lot about her brother who is a fanboy in general and a fan of SPN. And how he and his friends also ask her to get autographs from her fellow actors at these conventions. She is from Texas and did her Texas accent for us.
Edit: Okay I felt bad so I might try to upload a couple of Richard photos before Jason's concert. Working on it now and will add to this post. One person asked Richard if he were the Trickster what pranks would he play on Jensen and Jared. For Jared Richard said he would make him short and then went through a whole shtick of talking to a very short Jared and patting him on the head. It was very funny. Then he said he'd make Jensen a NY Jew (or something like that) and did an impression of Jensen with a heavy NY-Jewish accent. Another time someone asked Richard what was his favorite scenes on SPN. One of the ones he picked was when he the Trickster got to slam Dean up against a wall in Changing Channels. Firstly because it was cool how for 3.5 episodes the Trickster was all light and joking and then in one instant he went dark and dangerous. And secondly because he said he would never in real life ever be able to slam Jensen up against a wall like that. Even if Jensen had broken limbs, had his hands tied behind his back, etc. Jensen/Dean would beat the crap out of him before Richard could manage that. It was very funny. Jason came out after Richard and he said Richard was a hard act to follow and Jason was back stage cracking up listening to him.
