About Lost.
So I said the other day that I've caught up with Lost. And while I haven't made any direct comments about how I feel about how the story is evolving...let's just say that I'm watching it until the end because of what the first 2 seasons has meant to me.
One thing I will say however is I hate what has happened to the character of Sayid. Sayid has always been my favorite character. And this ... robot ... he has become is boring as hell. He is a total and complete blank...and just about as exciting and interesting as a blank piece of paper. Plus he's NOT Sayid--the Sayid I love.
So this evening I was reading this article about the similarities between Lost and SPN and saw this statement about the character of Jacob, "Mark Pellegrino plays a powerful "Lost" character named Jacob -- who appears to be inhabiting a human body (and may have upgraded into Sayid's body?)" <---what is THAT? Is that a speculation? Is that a spoiler? In either case, it may be slightly redeeming to me. Only slightly, but still. Makes me want to rewatch the last few episodes to watch Sayid with the idea that it might be Jacob.
But you know? Either way it's still NOT Sayid. Just like Locke is not Locke. It's like they just threw those characters away but because, oh wait! the actors and the character's bodies (heh, meatsuits, heh) are still walking around and involved with the show, it's ... no big deal. It's like none of the other characters on the show have even made any real NOTICE that both Locke and Sayid are gone. Because...well...they are still walking around.
