Man I thought my cold was getting better. I put almost a full day of work in (from home) and now I feel like crap...again. Ugh.
Anyway...I went through some of the photos I took of Portland when walking about town during the Leverage con. Plus one more I took this past Friday in the Lloyd Center area.

(click on any of these to enlarge)

above (and below):: I have this weird thing about fire escapes. The older the better. I also have a thing about art deco features. It wasn't until I was taking these photos around Portland that I realized how art deco a lot of our buildings are.

above:: I'm really falling in love with the Portland lamposts. I've seen them almost my entire life--but I never really appreciated them before.

above:: I just like the informal dude with the cell phone and the nearby bikes in front of this imposing, formal structure.

above:: I played around with some photoshop filters on this image. I liked the "graphic novel" type effect of this.

above:: I wanted to capture something about the flowers and the art deco glass squares and the old, glass-less windows in this building. I didn't really capture what I fully wanted.

above:: one of the crisp, modern Lloyd Center buildings seen through a flowering cherry tree.
