BSG Ratings vs. SPN Ratings

If I remember correctly SPN has gotten up to 3 million viewers in it's ratings right?  Well Battlestar Galactica S4 premiered this past Friday and the news is good for the show for it's ratings--but what's interesting is that those ratings showed 2.1 million viewers.  Which is less than SPN!  But considered good for BSG.  I wasn't really following BSG ratings like I followed SPN.  I had no doubt (for some reason) that BSG would continue to it's natural ending point.  But had been so paranoid the love-of-my-life-tv-show would end before it's time.  But according to this report, BSG's ratings are not as high as SPN.  Who'da thunk.
