Leverage Convention information
Nov. 4th, 2009 08:25 pmThanks to fickleone who is on a mailing list for ORYCON. Here's some Leverage Convention information!
The con is called the ConCon (since Leverage is about con artists!) It's scheduled for March 19-21 in Portland at the Governor Hotel.
There's a website. Right now it only has a splash page, but I guess info is supposed to be added soon (Friday?) The website is here.

The convention is called ConCon (Leverage is a TV show about con men, hence the name ConCon). Producer Dean Devlin announced the dates and location of the con on Twitter (http://twitter.com/Electric44/statuses/4873241773): "#concon is ON! march 19-21st! Portland, Governor Hotel!"
The convention's web page is at http://www.conthecon.com/ (just a placeholder so far but it's supposed to have real content beginning Friday) and its message boards are at http://rikkisixx.proboards.com/. You have to get a login to read the message boards.
I got an account on the message board (it was a pain, SpiritOne is blocking mail from proboards.com so I had to use my gmail address to sign up). Almost all the posts on the message boards so far are from rabid fans (many already booking flights from the UK) rather than from the convention organizers; it seems that planning is moving forward but the organizers are not yet ready to reveal details. The convention is being run by FedCon Gmbh from Germany. I expect that it will be a for-profit convention but I'm sure they would welcome volunteer help from experienced Portland conrunners.
If you're interested in helping out or just attending I'd suggest you check out the message board
That's all I know about it so far.
