SPN 4x20 reaction (spoilers)

growyourwingsI'm having mixed reactions to tonight's episode.
I definitely liked it. I even watched it a second time tonight.
I very much enjoyed the last 20 minutes or so especially (except for the commercial break from hell--I thought it'd never end.)
So some rambling reaction on my part.
I enjoyed seeing Jimmy/Castiel's backstory. But I have to admit I was not blown away by it. I did *like* it. Just not blown away. And btw, Jimmy couldn't take a moment to change clothes??? *G*
I liked seeing more of Misha. But I have to admit I missed seeing more of Castiel.
Which, now that I think of it, says a lot for Misha's acting--that I missed the presence of his main character even though Misha was in just about every scene.
There was a bit of predictability in tonight's ep. I totally knew the neighbor was a demon from the moment he walked in. My husband totally called Jimmy's wife as a demon when they left Jimmy's house. And I totally knew Jimmy's daughter was possessed by Castiel as the demon approached to kill her. BTW, kudos to that young actress for doing a believable Castiel.
Annie popping into the backseat of the Impala--Ha! Loved seeing Dean swerve in reaction.
And seeing Sam as essentially a junkie? Very disturbing. Did you all notice how hunched over he was when he and Dean were talking to Jimmy outside that warehouse? And the shadows in his eyes? He looked extremely not well.
And of course seeing him drink from that demon. El yuk to the max.
And did you see the way Dean flinched when Sam first raised his hand after drinking the demon blood? Like Dean wasn't totally sure Sam wasn't going to attack Dean with his demon power.
And of course how non-angry Dean was with Sam and how desparately Sam wanted (needed?) Dean to explode at him.
I'm TOTALLY unspoiled for the last two episodes. EXCEPT for the last episode's title. And based on what happened at the end of this episode and the name of the last episode and certain other things we know to be true about the nature of angels and demons in SPN's world--I *think* I have a pretty good speculation about what's going to happen. I won't say here because even though it's speculation, I've a feeling I may be correct. And if I am....
And I DIDN'T watch the preview for the last two episodes--so DON'T SPOIL ME! Plz!
