RL, Friends, and Neighbors
Oct. 3rd, 2008 04:36 pmLJ was acting up last night an I couldn't post my SPN 4.03 reaction--so I'll put my initial reaction in another post under a cut.
You know what I like? We have these neighbors--live across the street. They moved in, oh, 10ish(?) years ago. They have 2 kids, a girl around my son's age (15) and a son around 8-10 (I've lost track of his age). What I like about this is the way my family and that family have kinda adopted each other. This is nothing new--but this random post was triggered by my son looking for his shoes. I asked him where he was going as it is very unusual for him to be going outside so soon after school -- he usually plays computer games.
He said "Mary" (not her real name) needed help. She wanted to get her bike down from where it was hanging on the ceiling of the garage. So she called Tim to help her get it down.
I know, it really doesn't sound like a big deal and it really isn't, it's just that:
I haven't done much with drawing today--because after I got off work I re-watched SPN 4.03 then crashed and slept for 2 hours. I just woke up. Part of me is hesitant to pick it up again because I'm sure I'll get absorbed again and won't want to stop.

- The father of this family, let's call him George (hee! I snortle at calling him that) is best friends with my husband. Almost like BFFs you know?
- The daughter, Mary, and my daughter consider themselves sisters.
- The daughter, Mary, and my son consider themselves like brother & sister.
- The son, um...let's call him "Cutie" (cuz he is)..is like a little brother to both my kids. Cutie will come over and ask to play with my 15-year-old son, and Tim likes hanging out with him.
- BTW, the mother is also very nice--I'm just anti-social (grin).
