Loved it!  I was so excited that the finale was on last night.  But I was also a little sad that it would be months before S3.  But, Yeah!, we do *get* a S3!

Out of order, stream-of-consciousness thoughts...

I especially loved the Bobby-confronting-Dean scene.  Wow.  Bobby just rocks.

I think Bob found the Dean-talking-to-dead-Sammy scene a little too emo and chick-flicky.  But I liked it.

I loved the "real" hug--the Sammy's-not-dead hug.

Sammy killing Jake was ... um... wow (did Sammy come back changed?)

The crossroads deal....Bob knew at once it was going to be for a year.  I figured he was right.  Setting themselves up for the story arc for next season (yeah, we get a next season!)  I liked the original crossroads!DemonChick better, but the kiss was hot.  The crossroads deal was pretty convenient, but since Dean could not function without Sam, I guess that is what he would do in a heartbeat.

Daddy Winchester!  Yeah!  Loved that now both dead!John and dead!Mary have saved the boys.  Mary saved Sam.  John saved Dean.  Why didn't John touch Sammy too?  Did anyone else think that the CGI(?) effects around the John fighting the YED were a little "off."  They just didn't always look right to me.

Ellen's alive!  Yeah!  And I guess Ash is really dead.  Bummer.

The YED's dead!  I'm actually going to miss him.  I wonder if the Meg!Demon will be back to avenge her dead "father."  The YED's son was killed by Dean with the Colt, so he won't be back.

The ending scene.  Wow.  Sammy will do *anything* for his big brother \o/.  Sammy's purpose next season will be to save Dean.  Think of this.  Sammy was in pre-law.  Dean has "signed" a contract.  Sammy will try to break the contract.  I couldn't help but wonder if there will be a "Daniel Webster faces the Devil" court-type scene somewhere in S3.

Dean's purpose next season will be keep a watch to see if Sammy is somehow different, I guess.  Do you think Sammy will develop his powers more?  Both Jake and Ava said once they accepted it, or gave into it, the powers developed quickly.  Does "accepting it" or "giving into it" mean accepting that you are somehow evil?  Can Sam just accept that you are "special" and have powers?  Or by trying to develop the powers, will he face more struggles with resisting turning evil?  As in "absolute power..."?

I'm sure I'm forgetting something.  I've watched Part 1 three times, and Part 2 four times already.  Omg *is pitiful*.

Friday Five

1.) Now that we're out of fresh Supernatural episodes until September, how will you spend your Supernatural-less summer?

Working.  Participating in a BSG rewatch with my son; one episode a week starting with the mini-series until S4 starts.  Continuing to pimp my S1 (and S2 when it comes out) DVDs to unsuspecting victims friends.  I'm 4 for 6 right now in converting new viewers.  I would be 5 for 6 but one friend's partner was too scared to watch the eps.  Working on recovering my health and sanity after my 3-year nightmare job (that recently ended, yeah!)  Hopefully a trip to Ashland for some Shakespeare, a trip to Diamond Lake (now that it's back open again), maybe Hawaii (*crosses fingers*) or if not, Orcas Island.  *Finally* filling out the Damn Paperwork to get all our passports renewed (o gawd, I *hate* forms and process.)  Celebrating Bob's 50th (dbl omg)!   --geez, I better start planning some of this....

2.) Who's your favourite Supernatural villain so far, and why?

Gotta be YED.  Especially the actor in the finale.  But I loved every version of him.

A very close second would be Meg.

3.) Based on what we know from season 2, how do you expect season 3 to play out?

See my observations under the cut above.

4.) Jared's spending his summer filming 'The Christmas Cottage' and Jensen is doing a play called 'A Few Good Men'. What other sorts of roles would you like to see the boys portray?

My mind's a blank.  I first saw both of them in Supernatural.  Hard to get my mind out of them only being in those roles.  I haven't yet seen any past Jensen performances (Although I have Dark Angel--just haven't watched it yet.)  Not sure if I'll watch Smallville--somehow I just can't see myself watching it.  I netflix'd House of Wax.  OMG.  How awful (except for Jared.)  I may netflix Devour.  But my imagination is just not extending past SPN for them.  I wish I could see Jensen in A Few Good Men.  But Oregon...Texas.  Not a day trip.  I'll watch The Christmas Cottage of course.  But I have trouble understanding why anyone would make a movie about Thomas Kinkaid (is that his name?)  While his paintings are beautiful I guess--they always seemed kinda paint-by-the-numbers to me.  Kinda like Elvis-on-Velvet or Dogs-Playing-Poker paintings--except for girls.

5.) If you could sit down and have lunch with one Supernatural side-character (anyone other than Sam or Dean), who would it be, and what would you talk about?

Bobby.  He knows everything.
