growyourwingsJust read Wil Wheaton's post here where he talks, or rather, obliquely refers, to the coming Trek movie. Sounds promising.
I agree with what Wheaton says, the success of failure of this movie could mean the future of this franchise. It had damn well better be good.
Of course.
I sat through Star Trek the Movie and was ENTHRALLED (Hey! I was still young and it WAS the first Trek movie and first Trek *anything* in about a gazillion years!).
But I'm older now.
And Plus...they are likely aiming at non-Trek fans. Not those of us who are die-hard give us anything Trek. They have us. Mostly (see TV Series called Enterprise.)
Another note to self: Need more Trek icons. Shatner Pretty in Pink from BL doesn't REALLY count.
