J2 Panel - Part 2

Here is the continuation from Part 1 of the J2 Panel.

ETA: Feel free to snag and use photos in icons, etc. Just credit me. Also please don't hotlink! For the first time I exceeded my monthly bandwidth--on the 1st day of the month! I signed up for a Pro account for the next three months. But would rather not keep it up past the initial hits these posts get. Someone asked if I could upload a zip file with the photos. I'll try to do that within the next few days. I need to actually clean my house soon--my guys kinda let it go a bit while I was in LA!

Part 2

24) Another single shot of Jensen...

25a) I don't remember the exact question. But someone asked Jensen a question and, I *think*, wanted him to answer as Dean or something. So Jensen put on a rather exaggerated Dean face. Which cracked Jared up of course.

Okay. This next bit.... A guy came up to ask a question. The question was something like, "Jensen, have you ever eaten a rice-stuffed pickle?" Or something very close to that.

Jensen just lost his shit.

He started laughing and just couldn't stop. The quiet, shoulder heaving, tears-in-eyes, have-to-bend-over kind of laughing. And of course, Jared lost it too. Photos 34a through 34j.

Eventually he got himself together enough to reply that he "*HATED* pickles!" Which he repeated a few times later randomly.

Whoops! I also posted the 35a photo in the Jensen Panel. It was driving me nuts because I couldn't remember when Jensen had walked over to our side of the audience during that panel. Well---that's because he didn't!

A woman came up with a photograph. She wanted to ask both the boys what the story was behind the photo--but she wanted Jensen to answer first.

So a bodyguard took the photo from the woman and Jensen came over to get it.

It was the recently discovered behind-the-scenes photo from F13. If you haven't already seen it:

So in 35a through 35k, you'll see Jensen and Jared's reaction to the photo of Jared:

35a) Jensen walks over the body guard to get the photo.

35b) ...and he stares at it... It's a little hard to believe he hasn't seen it prior to this though.

35e) Jensen gets up and holds the photo out the audience so the camera can zoom in it and show it on the big screen behind them. The audience is very large--so the people in back can see what photo it was.

35f) Then Jensen tries to tuck the photo in his shirt. He said he'd get a lot of mileage out of that photo -- for blackmailing type purposes.

35g) Jared tries to answer about how he ended up half-naked and kissing a rooster/pheasant/chicken/whatever. But he says he has NO idea. He said he it was probably something like 4am in the morning on the F13 set and he wouldn't be surprised if drinking was involved. It kinda sounded like he didn't totally remember.

35i) As Jensen returns the photo, he turns to Jared and asks, "Is that a *real* chicken?"

35j) Jared answers, "No! It's stuffed! ... with fried rice!"

ETA: Thanks to tanopo03 and juice817. tanopo03 noticed that Jared's reply in 35j was likely a call-back to the rice-stuffed pickle riff. I didn't even notice that reference when it happened. juice817 confirmed that what Jared said was, "It's stuffed....with fried rice!" Obviously trying to get Jensen to crack up again.

37) The Js frequently got questions about what cracked them up when saying their lines. They both said that saying "Lilith" or "lore" was really hard for them and frequently cracked them up because they almost always flubbed them.

But then Jared also said that it was sometimes hard for him to keep a straight face when Dean cried. (I'm pretty sure he was joking.) And then Jensen did an exaggerated Dean crying and sobbing. And Jared proceeded to crack up.

37d) Again, I think Jensen was a little smug about his cracking-up-Jared skills that day.

39a) ~~Don't remember what this is about...~~ Thanks to juice817 the circumstance behind 39a through 39c are now identified!

Another guy (!) came up to ask a question. I'm so glad I caught this on film for two reasons. One is that the question itself is awesome and this gives me the reminder to talk about it. And the second is how he introduced the question--which caused Jared's fist pump and Jensen's frown.

The guy said he watched the show with his little sister. I think he said the girl was around 3ish or so. He said the sister didn't call the show Supernatural, she called it Padalecki!

Hence, Jared's fist pump of triumph.

Then the guy goes on to ask his question. He wanted to know how Ruby, a demon, was able to eat salt-ladened french fries. It was an amazing question. He'd asked it earlier to ~~someone (can't recall to who)~~ Samantha Smith and the audience just cheered him after a moment of stunned silence.

ETA: Thanks again to juice817, who recalled that the guy asked the question of Sam earlier and she told him he should make sure to tell Jared that his sister called the show "Padalecki."

The boys were impressed with the question as well. They said they didn't have an answer. Jared asked Jensen how Ruby ate *anything* with the way today's diet is filled with salt. The boys congratulated the guy on a great question and said they'd pass it on to Kripke.

41) ~~Still no idea..~~. This is a duplicate of 39c. I'm not deleting it from the post because I'd have to renumber. And I'm lazy.

ETA: Thanks to enkeli who recalled that photos #50 & #51 were in response to a question about Ted E. Bear from the episode Wishful Thinking. Neither of us can recall which of the following two items prompted Jensen's response below. See comments for #51 for more about his response. The two items were:

1) Someone asked how hard it was for them to keep a straight face during comedy scenes, and Jensen was telling the story about how, during the blocking for the scene with the giant teddy bear, he opened the door and had to walk away because he thought it was so hilarious.

2) It was getting towards the end of the panel, and they spotted the fan in the giant teddy bear costume still in the Q&A line, and one of them said something like, "we haven't gotten to the teddy bear yet..." and then Jensen was like, "can you imagine Ben Edlund pitching that..?" and launched into his imitation.

51) ~~Yes, Jensen was mighty pleased with himself that day.~~ He *was* still pleased with himself. But photo #51 was Jensen doing his Ben Edlund impression in response to one of the items listed above. As part of the impression, Jensen sprawled and leaned back. While looking at his nails he said in a drug-hazed hippie drawl, "Gotta go take my family to Burning Man."

52) ~~No idea...~~ While re-reading this I realized 52 is just a continuation of the Ben Edlund riff by Jensen.

53) The boys get up to say goodbye.

What is Jensen looking at???

At the end of the J2 Panel, Jensen was actually pimping the upcoming cons and saying we'll see you there! And who's joining us? I think the boys really recognize that they have a very unusual relationship with their fans.

You don't see LOST or Grey's Anatomy cons do you?

54) Jensen waves goodbye--looking almost like Dean.

55a) Even at the end the boys had to joke around.

Jared had just signed the tall banner on the left. Using his sasquatch height to reach up and sign high up. Jensen sees that and decides to pull over a chair to reach higher (yikes!) Jensen is looking over at Jared, who is signing the banner on the right at the moment and doesn't see him.
