Warning for pain-pill induced potential rambling...

The trip home yesterday was uneventful. I didn't get to our house until almost 8pm (or later? I didn't look that closely) due to late flight and then stopping to have dinner with my family after we arrived. Went to bed immediately. Just woke up a few moments ago, so that's about 12ish hours of sleep. My darling husband spent considerable time massaging my abused legs last night. It helped. But woke up this morning and had to take what I hope is my last pain pill for a while. Which may knock me out shortly.

Drinking coffee. Reading online. Having a small bit of "post con syndrome" or something. This con was wonderful. I had a lot of fun. Despite my anxious about the Vegas venue and the size (I think one volunteer told me it was 2,700 people and completely sold out) it truly was a big and wonderful event.

LOVED having Richard as MC. He did such a great job. Not a surprise given what we've seen in the past. He kept the pace up so well that there weren't many (any?) moments of drag in the days. And the addition of the Elastic Waste Band (EWB) was genius. As we were standing to re-up for next year, we chatted a bit with Gary (of Creation) and told him that the Richard and EWB were great and needed to be included next year. He said they wanted to/hoped to - and smiled and laughed and said they still needed to negotiate the appearances. But he sounded like Creation also liked the result and planned to repeat it.

Enough rambling for now. More coffee, food. And then photos...

Current Mood: waking up

I am starting to post more photos from Vegas. Next up will be photos from the J2 Panel. There are a lot of them, so I don't know if I will post all of them in a row or not. I'm not editing them other than for basic exposure settings due to time constraints. And I'm very quickly picking which ones to post which may include some less than ideal exposures chosen perhaps due to what was happening on stage at the moment.

Starting with the Js entry on stage. Greeting and hugging Richard and Rob. Jensen jamming a bit to the music. Jared introducing the People's Choice Award and the Js clowning around a bit with the award. Racing around the stage with it (which does not come across well in the photos.) Jensen relaxing down into one of the lounge chairs and Jared remembering that a fan asked him during his M&G to not sit in the chairs because many audience members could not see the guests when they sat in those chairs (including audience members in row D, so this was not just from those in the back of the audience.)

People? Jared is going to kill me. Yes I know he (and Jensen) are extremely good looking. But Jared at this con? Is killing me dead. I just came across another photo that just had me going.... ded.

This next set of photos (which will likely be in multiple posts) includes Ty Olsson crashing the boys' panel with a couple questions from the audience. A short time later, Ty brings up a boy who was named after Jensen to meet Jensen.

This set of photos includes Jensen telling a story of a party he went to where when he walked into the room he found them "acting". Like musicians would get together to just jam. These were people who were "acting" at a party. Jensen said he found the most expensive bottle of vodka he could find and then left. Jared found the story highly amusing.

Jensen was asked if he would sing a song. The band starts to play Back in Black and Jensen laughs and tries to sing the opening lines in a high voice; and laughs again - as does the band. Jensen really seems much more relaxed when he's around music. :)
