Vancon 2012 :: Encounter with Richard
Oct. 23rd, 2012 10:22 pmGoing through the last of my Vancon 2012 photos. I still have the two Marks' panel to do yet. I wanted to get these out there. Our group has a tradition that we go our to dinner after the last panel of the con. We actually left after our J2 autographs so we missed out on Richard's last appearance as well as the Js joining him on stage. Oh well.
But, as it turns out we did not miss out seeing Richard one last time. As we were eating our dinner, we noticed that there was a man sitting at the bar next to us that looked a lot like Richard from the back. My daughter went up to him and asked for a hug. We left him alone after that. But later as he got up to leave he came over to our table to say goodbye and visited with us for a short time. It was fun chatting with him for a short time.
