There's a Sherlock Holmes TV series?

Is it BBC?  Anyone watching?  Is it any good?  I'm a Holmes geek from back in my childhood--both the novels and from watching Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in the roles in old movies.

Sherlock!

Just watched the first episode of the BBC Sherlock series. 

OMG.  I LOVED it.   I know it's a modern day rendition of Sherlock Holmes.  But for me the love of Holmes has always been about Holmes and Watson.

While I liked the recent RDJ and JL movie and thought they both did fine jobs with the characters and they had great chemistry.  I wasn't impressed with the story overall.

This however.  Had me from the first moment.  I can't wait for the next episode.

It had me geeking out for two hours afterwards reminiscing to my husband about how I was so into Sherlock Holmes as a teenager which led to my love of old movies.  I haven't been this energized about a new tv show in a long time.
