Hi all!

As much as I grumble about doctors--when you find a good one s/he is worth their weight in gold.  I mentioned in a previous post about some issues I've been having with hormonal mood swings.  Well, the solution my doctor came up with is working!  I am feeling like myself more and more.  I feel like I've gotten my mind back.  I can remember things.  I can think quickly and be decisive again.  Man, it feels good (and hopefully I just didn't jinx it.)

Got my annual review.  Best review I've received in about 4 years.

Son is still being proactive in doing and turning in his homework.  Went to go see his Spring Band Concert last night.  He's been participating in a special Wind Ensemble (in the percusion section) over the past year.  His director is always saying how good they are.  I admit I took his comments with somewhat of a grain of salt.  However, last night I realized he was not just being a nice guy.  They were *really* good.  They've been playing in festival concerts over Oregon (I haven't been able to go to most of them.)  They've consistly placed in the top 1-5 bands throughout the year.  Which I knew, but again since I hadn't heard the competition, I wasn't really sure what that meant.  I have to admit that last nights performance of all the bands at this school (there were 4 including Tim's) was the best school performances I've ever seen.

My knee still hurts, but is better.  (Or maybe my general mood is just better so therefore the knee is better!)

Hubby has a new job.  And is on his 3rd week of no tobacco and is handling it very well.

We've reorganized our finances and have seen a drastic improvement in cash flow.

I did have next Friday and Monday booked as vacation days at work since I'd planned on going to Dallas.  I haven't told anyone that I wasn't going--so I'm considering keeping Friday.  I have to be there on Monday.

Things are so much better.  *twirls*

I kept asking myself last night about just how "perverted" I may have become because of SPN.

As I said in my last post, I attended my son's middle school spring band concert last night.  I was observing all the kids, remembering middle school and what an awkward age it was both physically and emotionally.

Then I spotted this rather short, slight boy.  He had Jared's floppy hair cut!  I kept staring at him through the concert wondering if he was going to grow up to look as sexy as Jared.  I *swear* to god I am NOT a pervert.  I kept asking myself just what did I think I was doing thinking about a young boy and what he might look like when he grew up.  *is embarrassed*

But after all, everything does relate back to SPN.

This boy also had the same facial structure as Jared.  I just saw this picture someone posted of Jared in New York Minute.  I immediately remembered the kid from last night.  The band kid was very small--a third of the size of Jared in this picture.  But the face and the hair--could be his baby brother or son.

Harvey Korman.

Man--loved that guy.

And Harvey Korman and Tim Conway?  An early OTP if you ask me:

Korman and Conway developed an uncanny rapport that made them arguably one of television's most lethal comic teams; Conway's on-camera ad-libs often made Korman crack up; producers wisely kept them in the show.

For about eight years, until late last December, the pair toured the country in a stage show that, more than anything, was a homage to their years with Burnett. They performed about 120 shows a year.

"I don't know whether either one of us was the straight man," Conway said. "The most important thing in comedy when you're working together is for one guy to know when to shut up. And we both knew when to shut up; quiet show, actually."  (From here)

They worked together for 30 years and were still touring together!

RIP Mr. Korman.  You brought joy and laughter (sometimes uncontrollable) to millions.

This is the one where Tim kept Harvey cracking up throughout the entire sketch.  Man I can remember roaring with laughter for this one.  I've been laughing so hard tonight looking at it.  I notice a lot of the famous Korman sketches are slow to load in YouTube tonight.  The Gone With the Wind sketch took forever!
